Tap into the power of a uniquely skilled and experienced team
Our team cover 4 key functional areas, namely:
- Commercial and financial;
- Operational;
- Human Resource;
- Programme and change management.
Commercial negotiation and management of long term, complex CMO/BPO and ITO agreements and extensive experience and expertise in negotiating large scale, business critical System Integration and other IT development agreements - The RPC team includes Director level commercial experts who have lead and managed the commercial aspects of many multi million/ billion plus contracts in most of the most complex and tightly regulated arenas including Central and Local government and UK Utilities. The team have particular expertise in structuring the key operative provisions of such arrangements - i.e. the scope, performance and pricing elements - to ensure that there are no competing drivers and that the arrangements reflect the desired balance of risk and reward as it relates to the delivery of the services in question. We have many well developed performance and pricing model templates that give a real head start in developing what can often be the toughest and the most complex aspect of most of these types of agreements.
Financial modelling, analysis, reporting and management of large scale, complex, front and back office, administrative and IT operations and long term, complex CMO/BPO and ITO agreements - The RPC team understand intimately the key financial components of these types of operational environments and are well placed to convert this knowledge into well structured, concise and insightful financial models that can: support in house teams in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, support procurement teams in developing a logical and refreshable data room structure for these types of service, also support procurement teams in developing the clearest and most valuable templates for procurement documentation such as ITT''s, provide insight and analysis of bid responses and working with the commercial and operational teams create financial models to support the key commercial and operational objectives. The team can also provide ongoing F&A type services to augment a clients standard AP/AR teams, ensuring that the often complex pricing arrangements are properly and effectively embedded in a clients AP process from purchase order through to payment. This can be delivered as part of the full Account and Performance Management service or as a stand alone component.
Operational management of large scale, complex, front and back office, administrative and IT operations - The RPC team includes very senior managers who have not only managed these types of environments but have also had considerable experience of leading significant transformation in such environments whether driven by technology, HR or process imperatives. The team also includes specialists in workforce management and the complex skill of linking long term forecast and planning to the day to day reality of often very complex and volatile operational environments.
HR - Most long term, complex outsource arrangements will involve difficult and substantial HR issues. Whether or not the arrangement is a first generation outsource or a second generation the management of the issues impacting the work force not just in compliance with relevant regulations and legislation but also in a manner that minimises disruption (ER issues as an example) and maintains service continuity is a critical element. Whether or not TUPE is likely or deemed to apply, there are many issues that can arise outside of this that clients need to be extremely careful. In practical terms there are issues such as ''human IP'', parallel running and associated knowledge transfer, pension transfer issues etc. At RPC we have substantial experience and expertise in managing significant transitions of services involving the TUPE of many thousands of staff. In addition we understand the cultural dimension to change and the importance of maximising stakeholder engagement and „buy-in‟ at all stages in the sustainability of any change.
Programme and change management - The management of complex organisational, process or technological change is a particular skill. It requires an intimate understanding of a wide range of connected and dependent work-streams from people and culture through to systems integration and facilities management and set-up. This breadth of change and the complexity of its interaction, together with the business criticality of success or failure is what differentiates the experienced and specialist programme and change manager from the generalist. At RPC we have unrivalled access to a team of genuine specialists in this area with a large number of successful high profile, high value and hugely complex projects to their name.
